Replacing the Primary Belt
Always carry tools and an extra belt. We found this won out the hard way in September at the CORVA event. After competing in several events with the our Rhino, our son decided to take her out for a spin. When he didn’t come back in a reasonable time I sent out to look for him. I missed him, but he got a ride back to camp in a Polaris Ranger (UGH). As he describe it ” I was just cruising and all of a sudden the it just stops rolling”. After towing it back to camp and then back home, I broke her open. The belt was in hundreds of pieces with the twine wrapped tightly around the sheave. This is not a job I would want to do on the trail, but if I had to I would. It is extremely important to carry 2 6mm Bolts aprox 2′ long and a 10mm socket w/ extension to pull the side cover.
